They shoot! They fight! They score! Cooking with a hammer and chisel!

Throwback to me and my old friend and competition partner Britney Bertrand collecting our awards at the first ever Sandals Resorts International Schools Culinary Awards Competition.

“What do you want to be when you grow up?” That’s a question we are quite often asked as toddlers.

The better question perhaps is,”What makes you happy? What are you passionate about?” You don’t have to stick with a single passion as a long-term career. I’ve learned that.

Transform weaknesses into strengths. Your education, talents, experiences: No one can take that away from you even when they are down-played. Invest in quality education, developing your talents and gaining remarkable experience in fields of interest to you.

Becoming flexible with skill-set, bountiful with knowledge and quite importantly, stability in employment tenure in addition to admirable professional REPUTATION are crucial factors to obtain.

Your age doesn’t limit your possibilities or abilities. Your efforts, ethics, character, personality, all consistently will mark your destiny.

Some people are successful only where they are. Others shine wherever they go and leave a trail of stardust behind them. Quite often these dynamic professionals are the ones who endure the most trials in jobs, hold on just a little bit longer and succeed against the odds.

I encourage anyone reading this article to continue. To try. To hold on just a little bit longer.

Sometimes it’s not because you are doing something wrong, but because you are doing something right.

Yours truly,

Jay
